• Working with our CEO and COO to develop and implement strategies to improve our workplace culture
• Coordinating office Team Building and other events to foster a sense of community among our employees
• Providing inspired leadership and mentorship to our team members to help them grow and develop in their careers
• Collaborating with our upper management team to ensure that our support staff is properly trained and equipped to perform their jobs effectively
• Overseeing quarterly performance reviews to ensure that our employees are meeting their performance goals
• Maintaining our office equipment and managing our outsourced IT providers to ensure that our technology infrastructure is up-to-date and functional
• Ensuring that all office positions and employee performances meet our company standards
• Providing direction to employees regarding administrative duties and goals
• Supervising employees to ensure that they are performing their jobs effectively and efficiently
• Developing professional relationships with staff and providing strong team building skills
• Verifying I-9 documentation and maintaining current employee records
• Assisting with new employee background checks
• Processing payroll and uploading workers comp figures
• Scheduling meetings and interviews
• Maintaining employee files and preparing onboarding files
• Tracking vacation and PTO and processing EDD claims
• Assisting with company audits
• Updating our HRIS system and running reports
• Serving as a liaison between employees and insurance providers
• Resolving benefits-related issues and ensuring the effective utilization of plans related to HR programs and services
• Administering health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations
• Addressing all employee requests and questions
• Administrating new employee hiring processes
• Administrating performance review and termination processes
• Administrating recruitment and interview processes
• Maintaining our Employee Handbook
• Identifying legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensuring policies, procedures, and reporting compliance
• Working with executive staff on appropriate resolution of employee relation issues
• Working with management and employees on grievances and complaints. Taking appropriate steps to see that they are resolved or channeled to higher management, if necessary
