Job Summary

The University of California is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Practice Manager to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to our advanced practice providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
  • Provide leadership and guidance to advanced practice providers, including clinical and administrative support
  • Collaborate with faculty physicians and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational goals
  • Manage complex workflows and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient and effective delivery of care
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Requirements
  • Minimum three (3) years of progressive responsibility in healthcare leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise a team and manage complex workflows
  • In-depth knowledge of patient care clinical standards, systems, external regulations, and internal policies
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and problem-solving with all levels of management and staff
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to train and mentor subordinates
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate prepared
  • Advanced experience in clinical specialty supervising APPs
  • Strong knowledge of human resources management policies
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to effectively supervise clinicians and manage complex workflows
License/Certification
  • Current California license in good standing by specialty within 90 days of hire
  • Master's Degree required in a healthcare-related field from an accredited program
  • Possess National Provider Identification (NPI)
  • Furnishing license as required by specialty
  • Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license in the state of California within 90 days of hire
  • Current American Heart Association CPR certification
  • National board certification in area of clinical practice upon hire
  • Current American Heart Association ACLS Certification
