We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Temecula Valley Hospital. As a key member of our Sterile Processing Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality monitoring and reporting, directing work in the department, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities- Oversee quality monitoring and reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Direct work in the Sterile Processing Department, ensuring efficient and effective operations
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to problem calls from OR and other departments
- Collaborate with SPD manager/director and infection control team to develop and implement quality and performance improvement objectives
- Develop and maintain knowledge of aseptic technique, sterilization techniques, and proper use of sterilizing devices
- Perform quality control checks on all instruments and equipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Three (3) years of experience in Sterile Processing as a CRCST
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
- CRCST (HSPA) or CSPDT (HSPA) certification required; Certified Endoscope Reprocessor certification required
- Additional certifications (CIS & CHL or CSIS & CSPM) must be acquired within two years of employment
