Job Description

The Salvation Army Adult Rehab Center seeks a Logistics Coordinator to fill a critical role in its operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of donations from residences and donation sites to our Thrift Stores.

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be working Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4 PM, and must have a valid Driver's License and be willing to complete a DOT physical and drug screen.

Your duties will include:

  • Loading and unloading trucks assigned to you and others as requested.
  • Providing assistance to Thrift Store personnel when delivering items to ensure proper placement and location within the store.
  • Maintaining a clean truck cab and box, with all personal items removed daily.
  • Developing an assigned route, including bagging or carding on sides and across the street of each pickup, as instructed.
  • Performing daily walk-around inspections of your vehicle to maintain equipment in good operating conditions and reporting any problems.
  • Responsible for the security and safe operation of the vehicle and other assigned equipment.
  • Instructing and supervising your helper, keeping in mind they are in a rehabilitation program and demonstrating good habits by example.
  • Treating customers courteously and accepting or refusing donations according to Salvation Army guidelines.
  • Maintaining a neat appearance, including clean clothing (uniform provided), clean shaven, neatly trimmed beard, hair trimmed neatly, shirttail tucked in, etc.
  • Maintaining complete and accurate records.
  • Other duties as assigned.
