- Identify and prioritize patient issues, recognizing those that require further intervention.
- Conduct thorough observations and record diagnostic results accurately.
Care Planning:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Follow and implement care strategies established by Registered Nurses.
Care Implementation and Management:
- Deliver care that meets accepted professional standards and protocols.
- Administer treatments and procedures as prescribed, ensuring adherence to patient care guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with patients about their care, providing education and support.
- Recognize and respond to emergency situations, demonstrating respect for patient rights and ethical considerations.
Evaluation of Care:
- Document care provided and any deviations from the planned approach, including justifications.
- Monitor and report on patient progress and emerging issues.
Leadership and Compliance:
- Utilize the nursing process to delegate tasks appropriately within the care team.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the unit.
- Adhere to safety protocols and report any unsafe conditions or practices.
