Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at McLaren Health Care. As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will be responsible for performing echocardiogram procedures, providing patient care and safety, and assisting physicians in the Cardiac Cath Lab.

Responsibilities
  • Perform physiologic monitoring and recording during echocardiogram procedures
  • Provide patient care and safety in the Cardiac Cath Lab
  • Assist physicians in the performance of echocardiogram procedures
  • Meet the requirements for registration as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Radiological Technologist (RTR) or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
Requirements
  • Minimum of three years of allied health experience in an acute care setting and Cardiac Cath Lab, EP, Radiology Specials, or Neuro Interventional Procedures experience required
  • OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Radiological Technologist (RTR) or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
  • OR Graduate of an accredited program, and Registration as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International required within six (6) months of hire
  • OR Graduate from a non-accredited program in either electrophysiology or invasive cardiovascular technology. Obtain either RCIS or RCES registration within 18 months of graduation. One year of work experience is required to be eligible for the registry exam
  • OR Graduate of a certificate or degree granting program or post-secondary educational program in Respiratory Therapy, LPN, or Echo Tech
  • ACLS certification within six (6) months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in an invasive cardiovascular environment
  • Minimum of three years of allied health experience in an acute care setting and Cardiac Cath Lab, EP, Radiology Specials, or Neuro Interventional Procedures experience required
  • OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Radiological Technologist (RTR) or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
  • OR Registration as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist by Cardiovascular Credentialing International required within six (6) months of hire
