Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare engineering cost estimates for proposed projects based on a general description of the work and an investigation of site conditions using standardized unit construction costs.
  • Prepare preliminary design sketches and Scope of Work descriptions for proposed projects.
  • Manage the design of low voltage electrical systems compliant with the National Electric Code (NEC) and all state and local codes.
  • Manage the design of overhead and underground medium voltage electrical distribution systems compliant with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) and all state and local codes.
  • Review consultant designed electrical projects and prepare comments on proposed designs.
  • Manage railroad construction projects by coordinating contractors, railroad personnel, utility systems, and other parties.
  • Conduct on-site bid and pre-construction meetings, monitor construction quality and progress, and prepare reports for management.
