Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team at Stephens & Smith Construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various project tasks, serving as a link between technical and managerial aspects of a project.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering or construction management, with excellent communication and leadership skills. They will be proficient in Excel and have experience with project documentation, cost tracking, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage job costs, job cost tracking, and change orders
  • Manage project documentation in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Assist in pricing and creating proposals for RFIs, addendums, bulletins, etc.
  • Participate in job hazard analysis and submit paperwork as needed
  • Handle jobsite permits, including dig permits, hot work permits, and inspection sheets
  • Assist in creating job schedules and placing concrete orders as needed
  • Participate in project meetings as needed
Requirements
  • 2-4 years engineering or construction management degree
  • Proficient in Excel for tracking job costs, RFIs, documents, etc.
  • Ability to work a 40-50 hour work week
  • Background in construction
  • Ability to complete on-site walk-throughs for quality and safety checks
