As a seasoned Transportation Engineer with Houston Engineering, Inc., you will oversee a diverse range of transportation projects from design through construction. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a skilled professional to advance their career in project development, project management, technical staff leadership, and client liaison.
Key Responsibilities- Expand and grow transportation services and clients within the state.
- Effectively lead and manage activities and personnel on specific projects.
- Ensure that designs comply with federal, city, and DOT specifications.
- Prepare or oversee detailed engineering analyses, schedules, technical reports, and other documentation.
- Collaborate with CAD designers, other engineers, and subcontractors.
- Foster a project team culture that delivers superior service to clients.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer license in the applicable state or the ability to obtain a license within 6 months.
- 8+ years of experience in designing and constructing state DOT and county highway projects.
- Excellent leadership and project management skills.
- Working knowledge of project team roles and responsibilities.
- Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes.
- Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with internal and external groups.
