Your Role:


As a Quantum Simulation Software Engineer, you will be integral to our team, focusing on the development of differentiable physics-based simulation environments that operate within an AI-driven control framework.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement differentiable multi-physics simulation inference for Quantum heterogeneous graphs.
  • Create interfaces with the object model utilizing Object Relational Mapping.
  • Work collaboratively with the Digital Twins team to optimize physics simulations.
  • Engage with the Compiler team to explore accelerator methodologies.
  • Establish essential performance metrics for the Quantum graph computing engine.
  • Provide a robust infrastructure to support control pathfinding and simulation environments.
  • Develop resilient autonomous software capable of operating without human intervention for extended periods, ensuring reliability through thoughtful architecture, comprehensive documentation, unit testing, integration testing, profiling, and collaboration with the Formal Methods team.

Qualifications:
  • Strong self-motivation aligned with PassiveLogic's mission to empower individuals through generative autonomy to address significant climate challenges.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in computational physics.
  • Proficient in systems programming languages such as C++, Swift, Rust, or Java, with substantial software engineering skills in managing large codebases with complex architectures.
  • Experience in parallel computing, GPU programming, high-performance computing, and scientific computing.
  • Strong mathematical, numerical methods, and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with software design, design patterns, and software architecture.
  • Experience in systems modeling and algorithm development.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with concurrency, threads, and processes, including Lib-dispatch/GCD.
  • Knowledge of vector, SIMD, and tensor computational methods.

Desirable Qualifications:
  • BS, MS, or PhD in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related Engineering fields.
  • Familiarity with the Swift programming language.
  • Understanding of building energy and/or electromechanical systems.
  • Experience with autonomous systems.
  • Interest in machine learning, energy systems, or mechanical-electrical control.
  • Experience in a startup environment.
