Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist with Radiology Associates of Hartford PC, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic services to patients of all ages undergoing mammographic studies. Under the general supervision of a radiologist, you will operate radiographic and mammographic equipment, position patients, and capture high-quality images for radiological diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately interpret physician instructions and routine procedural protocols
  • Prepare and operate radiographic and mammographic equipment, associated software, and position patients to capture high-quality images
  • Document patient-related information in the radiology information system in a timely manner
  • Acquire patients' chart data and reviews to determine correct room setup and learn of any specific medical problems or contraindications to the study
  • Maintain all aspects of the radiographic and mammographic area, including technical and clerical components, to ensure proper quality assurance results and compliance
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and safety
  • Provide coverage as needed and provide instruction/mentoring to new hires
Requirements
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification
  • Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (RTR)
  • Connecticut Radiographer License
  • Two years of experience in mammography, CT scan, MR, and radiologic technologist
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
