Position Summary

As a Physical Security Officer (PSO), you will be engaged in dynamic and fast-paced environments. PSOs may operate in various settings, including healthcare facilities, governmental sites, hospitality venues, and public gatherings. The primary mission of PSOs is to safeguard individuals, sensitive information, and property while delivering exceptional customer service. PSOs serve as the frontline representatives of our security services.


Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service

• Respond effectively to emergencies

• Deter and prevent criminal activity

• Execute ingress and egress control procedures

• Investigate incidents thoroughly

• Maintain daily logs and complete incident reports

• Conduct regular patrols on foot or in a vehicle

• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, guests, and colleagues

• De-escalate conflicts effectively

• Detain suspects when necessary

• Monitor CCTV systems

• Perform additional related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of experience in security preferred
  • Ability to pass Physical Agility Test (PAT) and Armed Security Officer (ASO) course
  • Must successfully pass a drug screening
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective time management abilities
  • Reliable transportation
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills
  • Proficient in firearm handling
  • Comprehensive knowledge of use of force policies
  • Must pass a thorough background check and meet training requirements

Professional Appearance:

  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance
  • Facial hair must be well-groomed and within company guidelines
  • Fingernails should not exceed 1/4 inch in length


Physical and Mental Requirements

Candidates must be able to meet the following physical and mental demands of the position:
• Work effectively under stress and pressure

• Lift up to 25 pounds

• Wear a uniform consistently

• Successfully complete the Physical Agility Test (PAT), which includes:
- Performing 19 push-ups within 2 minutes
- Running 1.5 miles in under 17 minutes and 30 seconds

• Justifiably use force, including deadly force if necessary
