Position Overview

Service excellence is the cornerstone of our values at Vail Resorts, and our Ski School Supervisors play a vital role in delivering this exceptional experience. Responsible for overseeing the operations of the ski school, Ski School Supervisors are dedicated leaders focused on staff development and enhancing guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations at the Ski and Ride School, including curriculum design, scheduling, and class assignments, while providing instructional support as necessary.
  • Assist with administrative functions such as recruitment, scheduling, training, payroll management, equipment inventory oversight, and guest feedback reporting.
  • Evaluate and document instructor performance to provide constructive feedback and guidance, including recognition, corrective action, or escalation when needed.
  • Stay informed about and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including policy training and incident reporting.
  • Collaborate with other management teams, departments, and external organizations as required.
  • Engage in leadership discussions to provide insights and suggestions on school operations, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Current PSIA/AASI or equivalent certification required.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a ski/snowboard instructor and at least 1 year of supervisory experience required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
  • Must meet the physical demands of ski and ride training and drills.
  • Fluency in English is required.

The anticipated salary range is $55,000 - $58,000. This range reflects the expected compensation for this role, with individual salary decisions based on various factors.
