Job Overview:

The Patient Care Technician is tasked with delivering exceptional direct care to residents, assisting them in all aspects of daily living under the guidance of a licensed nurse or Clinical Manager. This role adheres to the established Service Plan, complies with the MDH Nursing Assistant Program standards, and respects the Tenant's Bill of Rights while participating in the campus Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.

In alignment with the individualized Plan of Care, Patient Care Technicians utilize their skills in fundamental nursing, personal assistance, and basic restorative services. They are also attuned to the mental health and social service needs of residents, particularly those with cognitive impairments. As integral members of the interdisciplinary care team, Patient Care Technicians are dedicated to fostering independence, encouraging informed decision-making, and helping residents achieve and sustain optimal physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

Qualifications:

  • Current certification and listing on the relevant Nursing Assistant Registry
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written
