Job Summary:

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to join our team at Buffalo Center in Buffalo, NY.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising assigned unit staff, establishing and implementing employee policies and procedures, mentoring less experienced nurses, and maintaining the standards of care for the unit.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of assigned unit staff
  • Develop and implement employee policies and procedures
  • Mentor and provide clinical and career advice to less experienced nurses
  • Maintain the standards of care for the unit
  • Review resident records and quality of care
  • Monitor overall care and review individual resident cases
  • Address questions or complaints brought forward by residents or their families
  • Represent the unit's interests with upper-level management

Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid State RN License
  • 3 years of Long Term Care experience preferred
  • 2 years of Charge Nurse experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
