We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Technician II to join our team at Freeport-McMoRan. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods and materials at our assigned site.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, inspect, and unload goods and materials, and process reservations and issue material to end users.
- Operate various heavy equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts, to move goods and materials within the warehouse.
- Deliver material to customers, capture proof of delivery signatures, and maintain accurate records of delivered items.
- Implement policies to maintain inventory in usable condition and ensure reliability, including visual inspection of inventory and rotation of movable elements.
- Update warehouse management systems (WMS) to maintain accurate records of delivered items and remaining inventory.
- Communicate delivery times and possible delays to customers and set expectations for delivery.
- One year of warehouse experience in mining or a similar industry, including consistent operation of heavy equipment within a warehouse environment.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Microsoft Excel, Materials Management software, SAP, and Barcode systems experience preferred.
