Job SummaryThe Primary Care Physician will be responsible for providing medical care to patients in a primary care setting. This includes conducting physical exams, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and developing treatment plans. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and have a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide medical care to patients in a primary care setting
- Conduct physical exams and diagnose and treat illnesses
- Develop treatment plans and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree
- Board certification or eligibility in Family or Internal Medicine
- Active, unrestricted medical license in Louisiana
- Valid DEA license
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support
- Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- 1+ years clinical experience in geriatric, adult or family practice setting
