Position Summary:

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Preparation and Setup:
    • Analyze job specifications and confirm all required materials are in place.
    • Format and prepare digital files for printing, ensuring they meet technical requirements.
  2. Printer Management:
    • Configure and operate various printing machines, including cut sheet toner and inkjet models.
    • Load appropriate media and supplies into printers, ensuring compatibility.
    • Conduct regular calibration and maintenance of equipment for optimal functionality.
  3. Execution and Quality Assurance:
    • Carry out print jobs while monitoring for quality and consistency throughout the process.
    • Perform test prints to confirm settings and adjust as necessary.
    • Examine printed materials for any defects, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  4. Finishing and Packaging:
    • Execute finishing tasks such as cutting, laminating, and binding.
    • Ensure that all completed products are accurately packaged and labeled.
  5. Technical Support and Maintenance:
    • Diagnose and resolve issues related to printing equipment and software.
    • Regularly maintain and clean printers to minimize downtime.
  6. Record Keeping and Reporting:
    • Maintain detailed records of print jobs, including specifications and any encountered issues.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in a print production setting, particularly with cut sheet toner and inkjet printers.
  • Strong understanding of printing technologies, processes, and materials.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality assurance capabilities.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges efficiently.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift and transport materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Capacity to stand and operate machinery for extended durations.
  • Manual dexterity required for operating cutting and finishing tools.

Full-time and Part-time Positions Available
Compensation: $17.5 per hour
