Job Summary:The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver professional expertise in psychology, encompassing assessment, diagnosis, intervention, consultation, and supervision within UT Health Services. The work environment is clinical, requiring substantial interaction with patients, mental health professionals, and the broader campus community.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess patients' psychological functioning and provide treatment recommendations, including referrals to appropriate health or professional agencies.
- Facilitate individual, couples, and group psychotherapy/counseling sessions.
- Conduct clinical interviews, administer psychological assessments as necessary, and recommend psychological testing when appropriate.
- Provide consultation within CAPS and collaborate with medical staff at Health Services and the campus community.
- Supervise doctoral interns.
- Engage in campus education, outreach, or screening initiatives related to mental health topics and participate in staff development training.
- Maintain documentation and clinical records.
- PhD or PsyD with major coursework in clinical or counseling psychology, along with two (2) years of professional clinical experience or equivalent.
- Consideration for Provisionally Licensed Psychologists.
- More than two (2) years of professional clinical experience.
- Licensure in Texas as a Psychologist.
