Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Project Engineer who will be instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of our projects. This role involves close collaboration with the Project Manager and the operations team, maintaining high standards of professionalism and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily reporting and monitor work activities to ensure adherence to production schedules.
  • Manage essential construction documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and correspondence.
  • Lead and facilitate daily, weekly, and monthly meetings effectively.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, owners, subcontractors, and vendors through excellent communication skills.
  • Prepare and manage equipment usage reports, ensuring accurate cost coding.
  • Oversee the submission and tracking of all project-related submittals.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly pay requests for Project Manager approval.
  • Gather material quotes from suppliers and manage purchase orders.
  • Track and report on material usage and inventory levels.
  • Maintain documentation in project management software to summarize project issues and communications.
  • Review project plans and drawings to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Support the maintenance of construction schedules using project management tools.
  • Manage jobsite document control and other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role within heavy civil projects.
  • Familiarity with Primavera CPM scheduling or similar software, along with CAD knowledge.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with USACE projects is advantageous.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and capacity to work independently under pressure.
  • Successful completion of background checks and drug testing.
Physical Requirements:
  • Capability to perform essential job functions consistently and safely.
  • Regular and punctual attendance is required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
