Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our team at Peraton. As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and debugging software systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software systems using expertise in programming languages such as C, C++, or Java.
  • Work with users to define system scope and objectives, and provide analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases.
  • Plan and schedule new applications systems projects with user, systems software, and computer center operations personnel.
  • Perform tasks necessary to ensure the identification and documentation of hazards within software systems using various analysis tools and techniques.
  • Review and evaluate systems and software for adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safety.
  • Confirm design mitigations are captured in the design and its documentation and verify implementation.
  • May perform as a project lead with the responsibility for the instruction, assigning, direction, and monitoring of the performance of assigned systems developers/analysts working on a specific project.
Requirements
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • 2 years' experience with BS/BA, 4+ years' experience with AA/AS degree; in lieu of degree, 6+ years' experience is allowable.
  • Must be able to obtain a Security+ Certification within 6 months of start date.
  • Experience with GitLab, Git, Kubernetes, Containerization (Docker), Virtualization, DevOps/CI/CD.
  • Knowledge of Linux, Windows (basic system administration).
  • General programming knowledge of C, C++, or Java.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI or TS with ability to obtain SCI.
  • Current Security+ Certification.
  • Experience with Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence).
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Containerization (Docker), Virtualization, DevOps/CI/CD.
  • Knowledge of Linux, Windows (advanced system administration).
  • Experience in AWS.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced Agile Environment.
