Withum is a forward-thinking, technology-driven advisory and accounting firm. Our Tax Services Team is made up of a brilliant team of tax specialists that work to ensure tax reporting obligations are met in an accurate and timely manner and minimize or defer the payment of taxes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicating and working directly with high level client personnel, firm audit and tax managers, senior managers, directors and partners
  • Being involved in all aspects of the financial services tax engagements, which includes hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, broker dealers and management companies
  • Handling high level technical and compliance issues, tax policies, and procedures
  • Providing financial services expertise involving tax research and application of specialized industry knowledge and accounting principles
  • Researching and drafting memorandum involving complex tax matters
  • Identifying and implementing tax planning opportunities
  • Training and supervision of staff accountants on financial service engagements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required
  • Having a Master's of Science in Taxation or a CPA license is a plus
  • 4+ years prior experience working in the tax department of a public accounting firm
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, both independently and as part of a team
  • Must have experience in the financial services industry

The compensation for this position will vary by location. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance.
