About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Installation Technician to join our team at Thermo-Trol Systems Inc. in Hampton Roads, VA. This is a full-time position that offers a unique opportunity for individuals with a passion for electrical work.

As an Electrical Installation Technician, you will be responsible for installing and inspecting controls for Commercial HVAC and Industrial applications. Your attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to work safely from heights will make you a valuable asset to our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Properly install conduit and pull control wire, typically up to 1 inch in diameter.
  • Install and terminate field devices and controllers, ensuring they function efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform work safely from ladders, scaffolding, and motorized lifts, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Lift up to 75 pounds, moving equipment and materials as needed.
Requirements and Certifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of electrical experience, with a focus on bending and running conduit.
  • Journeyman's License preferred; Master's License a plus, demonstrating advanced skills and expertise.
  • Basic computer knowledge is a must, allowing you to effectively communicate with our team and access relevant information.
  • Working knowledge of DDC / PLC controllers is a plus, showcasing your ability to work with complex systems.
  • You must qualify for a DBIDS (Government background check) badging and pass a drug test, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Able to read control diagrams and schematics, interpreting complex information to complete tasks accurately.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC equipment is a plus, highlighting your understanding of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
