We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Technologist Team Lead to join our team at American Esoteric Laboratories. As a key member of our laboratory operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the work activities of our staff and ensuring the adherence to established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the work activities of laboratory staff and ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Assist the Senior Medical Technologists and Laboratory Manager in achieving the goals and objectives of the department and AEL.
- Perform clinical laboratory testing following established guidelines and identify and resolve technical problems.
- Assure timely workflow and reporting during designated work times and maintain personal skill competencies.
- Provide accurate patient test results and communicate effectively with clients, physicians, and other department employees.
- Evaluate processes and protocols for efficiency and accuracy and make recommendations for improvement.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and completion of AMA-approved program of Medical Technology.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures as normally acquired through 4 years of medical technology experience.
- Tennessee Medical Technology license and certification by ASCP or the equivalent.
