Job Overview

At Crossroads YMCA Inc, we are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Youth Sports Coach to join our team. As a Youth Sports Coach, you will play a vital role in developing the skills and abilities of young athletes through our Parisi Speed School program.

Job Description

The Youth Sports Coach will be responsible for assisting in the operation and development of our program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality training sessions that engage and motivate athletes. This role involves building strong relationships with parents and athletes, communicating effectively, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment. Key responsibilities include:

Essential Functions:
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of group membership classes and training sessions
  • Communicate with parents and athletes to provide updates on progress and goals
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all interactions and sessions
  • Establish and maintain relationships with participants and parents
  • Develop and implement session guides for athletes to meet personal goals
  • Keep accurate records of class attendance and participant retention
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Qualifications:
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certifications within 30 days of hire
  • Parisi Speed School certification within a designated timeframe and maintain it every two years
  • High School or College Athlete preferred
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to relate and communicate effectively to diverse groups of people
Working Environment and Physical Demands

This role requires:

  • Visual, auditory, and verbal ability to communicate effectively
  • Sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to perform job responsibilities
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
