RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Patient Care to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services in our Neonatal ICU.
Responsibilities- Assist the Nurse Manager in ensuring the delivery of quality nursing care to all patients and their nursing units.
- Develop and implement patient care standards, orientation, and continuing education programs.
- Provide input into the evaluation of staff performance and participate in nursing Quality Improvement initiatives.
- Assist with unit administration, including scheduling, payroll, and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
- Maintain and role model clinical skills necessary to provide care to patients.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, laws, and regulations.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum of 3-5 years NICU experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Goal and outcome-oriented.
- Demonstrated leadership and/or Charge Nurse experience.
- Successful completion of all orientation programs.
