About the Job

**Forensic Photo Specialist**

Vets Hired is seeking a highly skilled Forensic Photo Specialist to join our team. As a Forensic Photo Specialist, you will be responsible for capturing and analyzing photographic evidence in support of law enforcement investigations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain CCTV systems to capture high-quality video and photographic evidence.
  • Work independently in the field to capture and process photographic evidence.
  • Perceive and capture the full range of the color spectrum in photographic evidence.
  • Follow proper evidence handling and chain of custody procedures to ensure the integrity of photographic evidence.
  • Work in various weather conditions and tolerate exposure to air pollutants and dust.
  • Operate vehicles safely and possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Learn new software, tools, and technologies to quickly adapt to new solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Three years of experience in a commercial photographic laboratory, including experience in color processing.
  • Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
  • Color processing experience.
  • All finalists for positions are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position.
  • Positions in the Police Department must meet the background standards that are appropriate to non-sworn positions.
  • Some positions require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license, and have an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience troubleshooting with network and digital video recorders.
  • Experience using digital records management systems, e.g., Xtender.
  • Experience using Microsoft 350, duplicating data, and various internal browsing software.
  • Experience using Axon Investigate (iNPUT-ACE), Amped Five, BriefCam, DVR Examiner.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud, e.g., Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop.
