Job Summary

System Specialties Inc, a leading provider of overhead crane solutions, is seeking a skilled Crane Service Technician to join our team in Greenville, SC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure crane safety and efficiency
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues with cranes and related equipment
  • Consult with customers on repair and safety-related issues
  • Generate sales leads during service calls
  • Document all work performed on service reports
  • Install and start-up new cranes, including wiring and assembly
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Travel may be required, with a company-provided work vehicle

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of AC/DC theory and ability to troubleshoot 480VAC 3-phase motor control systems
  • A minimum of 2-year hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance experience
  • Aptitude for both electrical and mechanical environments, with familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Willingness to work overtime
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven commitment to safety
  • Comfort with working at heights
  • Experience with Variable Frequency drives and PLC programming a plus
  • Crane maintenance experience a plus
