Perioperative Care Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Perioperative Care Coordinator to join our team at HCA Florida Osceola Hospital. As a key member of our peri-operative team, you will be responsible for coordinating patient care during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Coordination: Coordinate patient care during surgical procedures, ensuring seamless communication between healthcare professionals and effective management of patient information.
  • Operative Environment Preparation: Prepare the operating environment by gathering and organizing necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Clinical Expertise: Monitor and assess patients' medical status throughout their time in the operating room, ensuring accurate documentation and effective communication with patients, colleagues, and physicians.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida or ability to obtain licensure before start date. A minimum of 1 year of perioperative experience or completion of a Perioperative Nursing course is preferred, along with at least 1 year of RN experience in an acute care setting. BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications are required, and CNOR certification is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
