Job Title: Driver Helper

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Driver Helper to join our team at Performance Food Group. As a Driver Helper, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products to our customers.

Job Summary:

The Driver Helper will assist the Driver in every aspect of the product delivery, including loading and unloading trucks, placing products in designated areas, and completing required documentation. This is a full-time position that requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years of related experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Driver in the safe and accurate delivery of products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Load and unload trucks and/or company vehicles.
  • Place products in areas identified by customers.
  • Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and/or 1-3 years of related experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and apply general math skills.
  • Ability to work reliably from verbal and written instructions.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge and ability to learn/use computer programs on the job.
  • Ability to obtain certifications for use of powered equipment; such as forklift operation.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

The Driver Helper will be required to regularly lift, carry, and position up to 10 lbs., frequently up to 25 lbs., and occasionally up to 60 lbs. The position also requires the ability to handle objects, tools, and/or controls, stand for a significant period of time, and walk continuously. The Driver Helper may be required to operate and/or be certified on various powered equipment.
