Responsibilities:
The Patient Care Technician in the Med Surg/Telemetry Department is an unlicensed assistive personnel who supports patients with daily living activities, delivers fundamental nursing care to non-critical patients, and helps maintain a secure environment under the guidance and supervision of the Registered Nurse leading the team and/or unit.
Qualifications:
Education and Work Experience
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification preferred upon hire.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire and maintain it thereafter.
- Familiarity with Medical Terminology is essential.
- A minimum of six months' prior experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office is preferred.
