Network Architect

ProRec Resource Solutions, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team.

The Network Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support for planning, designing, maintaining, and integrating local and wide area network infrastructure. The selected candidate will have input into the edge networking architecture deployed throughout the Enterprise.

• Installs, configures, maintains, and manages network infrastructure consisting primarily of switches, routers, firewalls, Silver Peak SD-WAN edge appliances, wireless infrastructure, cellular-based appliances, and all associated hardware and software.
• Performs network management functions utilizing various industry tools to monitor, test, verify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network problems.
• Assists in the planning and design of LAN/WAN network architecture, including network bandwidth analysis and capacity planning.
• Participates in change management efforts with agency and other edge networking teams.
• Ensures that assigned edge networking trouble tickets or incidents follow established processes and are fully documented within Service Now.
• Assists with tier 2 support for widespread events/incidents to customers and other networking teams as needed.
• Proactively identifies and troubleshoots issues related to complex network problems and works them to resolution.

• 4-5 years of experience in network switching
• 3-4 years of experience in network routing
• CCNA certification desired
• CCNP certification beneficial
• SD-WAN experience beneficial

The selected candidate will be required to work from a structured office setting at an approved Commonwealth-owned facility. Some on-site work and occasional attendance at various meetings, conferences, and training sessions may be required.

Telework is an option for this position.

The Network Engineer will be responsible for making decisions regarding network management and troubleshooting. The overall performance of the network team and availability/performance of the network and customer satisfaction will be factors used to determine level of success.
