Job Description

As a Delivery Driver at Sherwin-Williams, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and safe delivery of products to our customers. Your primary responsibility will be to operate a company vehicle to transport goods from our stores to customers' locations, adhering to all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare deliveries to meet customer requirements in the most efficient manner
  • Load customer orders properly on the truck
  • Ensure accurate completion of delivery forms
  • Load, transport, and deliver items to customers in a safe and timely manner
  • Maintain the store vehicle and report any repair or servicing needs to the supervisor
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answer questions, and handle complaints from customers
  • Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules
  • Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
  • Prepare reports and other documents related to deliveries
  • Operate equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Have at least a High School diploma or GED
  • Have at least one (1) year experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (for example: forklifts (stand and sit), pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu-hoists, drum dollys, conveyor belts, etc.)
  • Have previous work experience selling paint and paint related products
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
