Shift Type: Days

Shift Notes: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 80 hours per pay period

Hourly Range: $26.00 (based on years of experience)

Salary Range: $41,600 - $54,080 annually

Job Overview:

The Medical Assistant at Next Move Healthcare will manage patient flow throughout the clinic and assist providers in managing and treating patients from diverse backgrounds and age groups. The Medical Assistant will perform both clinical and clerical tasks to ensure smooth operations and effective care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform clinical tasks such as rooming patients, administering immunizations, injections, and medications as directed by the provider.
  • Collect laboratory specimens and perform phlebotomy duties as required.
  • Provide support for prescription refills and telephone inquiries.
  • Perform x-ray duties (if certified) and assist with clinic laboratory tests.
  • Assist with front desk tasks, including check-ins, ordering supplies, and prior authorizations.
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality while ensuring compliance with clinic policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure patient care goals are met and concerns are addressed.

Licensure/Certification:
  • Current BLS Certification Required.
