We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Children's Minnesota. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing professional family-centered care to infants, children, and adolescents.
Key Responsibilities- Escort patients to exam rooms and accurately document information.
- Prepare and administer medications and injections as directed by a clinician.
- Perform and assist with procedures and treatments as directed by a clinician, such as administering hearing/vision tests, rapid strep testing, nebulizer treatments, and urine catheterizations.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens to ensure accurate and appropriate patient testing while maintaining patient dignity, comfort, and confidentiality.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of an LPN/LVN or RN program.
- Pediatric experience.
- 1 year of experience in a clinic setting or completion of a Medical Assistant externship at a Children's Minnesota Clinic.
