The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the exceptional experience of our guests by providing top-notch service in areas such as groundskeeping, property maintenance, and engineering. This position involves planning, executing, and coordinating activities to maintain the property's facilities, including grounds, mechanical components, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all operational standards, policies, and procedures to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain property mechanical components, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, life safety systems, doors, windows, flooring, and roof systems.
  • Ensure property grounds are well-maintained according to season and property standards.
  • Resolve customer complaints regarding property and grounds maintenance.
  • Communicate with the Front Desk and Maintenance Manager regarding grounds and/or maintenance needs.
  • Understand and manage maintenance schedules, including landscape lighting, sprinkler systems, and pool temperature.
  • Perform, manage, and implement regularly scheduled maintenance operations, such as filter replacements, updates, and paint jobs.
  • Ensure open lines of communication with all departments and upper management to meet the needs of the hotel.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area.
  • Ensure all equipment is in good, safe working condition.
  • Maintain awareness of safety issues throughout the property.
  • Comply with safety and emergency procedures and OSHA requirements.
  • Attend relevant meetings.

Additional Essential Functions:

  • Have knowledge of and be able to perform repairs to HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Have knowledge of and be able to perform carpentry and painting-related work.
  • Properly account for tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Ability to handle miscellaneous tasks assigned as needed to deliver professional property management services.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Two (2) years related experience in hospitality or service industry.
