Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team at WakeMed. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer oxygen therapy and nebulized medications to patients as prescribed by physicians.
  • Manage patient airways and provide secretion management to ensure optimal respiratory function.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare teams to plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory therapy.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote healthy respiratory habits and disease management.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
  • 1 year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy, preferably in a critical care setting.
  • NC Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure and Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification within 6 months of program completion and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification within 12 months of program completion.
Work Schedule

7am-7pm, Monday-Friday, with every third weekend and occasional call shifts.
