We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Estimator to join our team at GPAC, a leading search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and organize bid documentation for assigned bids, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Read, understand, and assign costs to bid-related documents, including drawings, specifications, and instructions to bidders.
- Perform detailed take-offs and unit cost estimates, as well as pricing breakouts as required by customers.
- Request, obtain, and evaluate vendor pricing to ensure competitive estimates.
- Electronically maintain records of all working documents and data to support estimates.
- Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience preparing estimates for commercial plumbing projects.
- Competency with computerized estimating and digital take-off software.
- Understanding and knowledge of SMACNA standards related to sheet metal ducting and HVAC systems.
- Ability to estimate both design-build and plan/spec projects.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and ability to work to deadlines.
