Position Overview:
A prominent defense organization is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to contribute to critical projects. This role involves the upkeep and enhancement of essential ground-based radar systems that are vital for strategic missile detection, warning, and space surveillance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will engage in planning, developing, and implementing modifications to radar hardware and software in response to various requests and identified deficiencies.
- Conduct Systems Engineering tasks associated with Information Technology and Engineering, including requirements definition, analysis, and engineering.
- Ensure a systematic transformation of product requirements into comprehensive systems solutions, taking into account technical, scheduling, and budgetary constraints.
- Perform functional analysis, timeline assessments, detailed trade studies, and requirements allocation to convert customer needs into engineering specifications.
- Provide detailed guidance on selection and implementation techniques to achieve optimal solutions that address current and future capacity requirements.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- Experience managing large-scale Agile or SecDevOps projects, including cost estimation and risk management.
- Expertise in sustaining radar systems such as PARCS, PAVE PAWS, or UEWR.
- Proficiency in systems engineering and Model-based Systems Engineering, particularly in national security space mission systems.
- Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission.
- A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 4 years, or a PhD with 4 years.
- An active Secret clearance.
- Experience with distributed systems and virtual operating environments.
- Ability to translate operational needs into system and technical requirements.
- Familiarity with various system types, including custom and commercial hardware/software.
- Extensive experience with Cameo.
