We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Private Duty Nurse to provide high-quality care to students in a school-based setting. As a Private Duty Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering personalized medical care to students with complex needs, ensuring their ability to attend school and participate in educational activities.
Key Responsibilities- Implement the nursing process to assess students' needs and develop individualized care plans
- Provide skilled nursing procedures, including catheterizations, g-tube feedings, trach care, and suctioning
- Administer and manage medications, as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with school health services and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Document nursing assessments, diagnoses, and treatments in electronic medical records
- Maintain student confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and FERPA regulations
- Valid registration as an LPN/RN in the State of Maryland
- One year of experience in a nursing home setting, preferred
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current CPR/BLS certification
