Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Automation Specialist is responsible for designing, modifying, and executing comprehensive software testing strategies. This role involves developing automated scripts and programs to ensure the highest quality standards for Workday's software products. The Specialist will systematically debug software through rigorous testing methodologies, ensuring all system tests are completed, documented, and any issues are resolved.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Principal QA Engineer to enhance the Quality Assurance Team's efforts.
  • Conduct manual test runs as identified by the Project QA team.
  • Identify and automate test cases to support nightly regression testing, deployment automation, and performance testing.
  • Engage in release testing for bi-weekly software releases.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in both manual and automated test execution.
  • A minimum of 5 years in software quality assurance.
  • At least 3 years of experience in developing automated testing solutions for both front-end and back-end using tools such as Karate, Selenium, JMeter, Postman, and REST Assured.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming, particularly in Java.
  • Familiarity with SQL and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • A degree in Automation, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Capability to program, configure, and wire automation equipment and associated sensors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced skills in test case management systems and Atlassian tools.
  • Experience with Jenkins configuration.
  • In-depth knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to create detailed test plans.
  • Familiarity with Adobe AEM, Amazon AWS Cloud, and Drupal is a plus.

This position offers a competitive pay range of $56.00/hour to $75.00/hour, along with benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K.
