As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, you will be responsible for performing quality diagnostic orthopedic X-Rays for our ordering providers. Your primary focus will be on ensuring patient safety and privacy while providing excellent customer service.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Perform X-rays ordered by providers, ensuring accurate images and proper use of equipment
* Maintain quality control of all X-rays taken, adhering to established standards
* Collaborate with x-ray supervisor or director to address concerns or operational questions
* Establish professional relationships with physicians, co-workers, and clinical staff
* Teach x-ray students how to perform X-rays, patient care, and workflow in the clinical x-ray setting
* Assist clinical staff with PACS, including importing and exporting images
**Requirements:**
* Licensed Radiologic Technologist or registry eligible
* Strong customer service ethic
* Current certification in CPR encouraged
* Knowledge of basic computer skills
* Familiarity with orthopedic X-rays in a clinical setting
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of people
**Work Environment:**
As an Orthopedic X-Ray Specialist, you will be working in a clinical setting with occasional exposure to infectious diseases. You will be required to sit, stand, walk, reach, and talk, with occasional lifting and moving of up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
