Job Title: Laboratory Technician

BandG Foods North America is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our food products.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform chemical, physical, and microbiological analyses on ingredients, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
  • Communicate results promptly and accurately.
  • Provide weekend support for microbiology lab testing as required.
  • Collaborate with other departments and manufacturing locations to provide technical analyses and support.
  • Calculate and evaluate test results for accuracy and initiate retests as needed.
  • Prepare samples for analysis at third-party laboratories as required.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain equipment used for analyses.
  • Document all quality control activities, calibrations, and maintenance performed.
  • Monitor and maintain laboratory chemical inventories, hazardous waste, and supplies.
  • Update the chemical register on an annual basis.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or related field preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in chemical and food analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with JD Edwards, PKMS/Atomic a plus, Smartsheet.
  • Good analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility.
  • Team player.
