Key Responsibilities:
- Provide routine and complex care to patients in the emergency department, with a focus on critical care and emergency medicine.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs and preferences.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide education to patients and families as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree required.
- At least 1 year of experience in emergency care or critical care nursing preferred.
- Current RN license in the state of employment or compact required.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, NIHSS, and moderate sedation required.
- De-escalation training and evidence-based triage curriculum completion required.
- Arrhythmia recognition certification required.
