UPMC Harrisburg is a full-service, Magnet-designated hospital with 411 beds, located in downtown Harrisburg. We are the hub for acute care services in central Pennsylvania and offer a range of specialties, including women's health, intensive care, gastroenterology, and urology. Our hospital has earned The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval for total hip and knee replacement and spine surgery, and is certified by The Joint Commission in advanced heart failure.
What is the Graduate Nurse Rotational Program?
Our Graduate Nurse Rotational Program is a unique opportunity for recent nursing graduates to gain hands-on experience in a variety of clinical settings. As a Graduate Nurse, you will work alongside experienced nurses to develop your skills and knowledge, and will have the opportunity to explore different areas of nursing to find your right 'home'.

What Can You Expect as a Graduate Nurse?
As a Graduate Nurse, you will provide highly competent patient care and treatment while demonstrating empathy and a passion for learning. You will work collaboratively with physicians, other care providers, patients, and patients' families to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care.

What Does Placement Look Like Post-GNRP?
Upon completion of the Graduate Nurse Rotational Program, placements are determined by participant preference, Hiring Manager preference, and business need through a collaborative matching process at UPMC Memorial.
Applicants will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary from the My Nursing Career Ladder based on their individual experience and education.
Requirements
· Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse required prior to program start date OR must have a Temporary Practice Permit and commit to taking the NCLEX examination with 6 months of hire
· CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
· Clearances must be dated within 90 days
· Act 33 with renewal
· Act 34 with renewal
· Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
· Basic Life Support
