Position Overview:
This role is for a newly established outpatient facility. The MRI Technologist is responsible for utilizing magnetic resonance imaging scanners and associated equipment to capture specific images as directed by a physician, aiding in patient diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct MRI examinations of various body parts, including the brain, spine, and extremities, while effectively adjusting scanning parameters for diverse patient body types.
  • Select and modify technical factors to enhance image quality, employing advanced imaging techniques.
  • Determine the appropriate equipment for scanning, including body coils, and ensure adherence to physician's instructions.
  • Prepare and operate MRI equipment, position patients accurately, and effectively record diagnostic images.
  • Identify significant pathology and adjust scanning parameters to provide relevant information for interpretation.
  • Perform advanced imaging studies, including Diffusion studies and MR Angiograms.
  • Utilize magnetic resonance technology while minimizing exposure risks to patients and staff.
  • Follow established protocols for scanning techniques, including adjusting window and contrast levels, scanning time sequences, and image reconstruction.
  • Document quality control procedures and equipment performance, reporting any issues as necessary.
  • Administer IV lines for contrast studies in accordance with departmental policies and respond to any IV contrast reactions.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient screenings prior to MRI procedures.
  • Review examinations for technical accuracy and communicate findings to the radiologist and care team.
  • Ensure proper identification and orientation of all images.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiology or a related field.
  • Registered with the ARRT, as required by state regulations.
  • Preferred one year of experience in a related field.
  • Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.
  • Current CPR certification and health clearance as applicable.
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in English are essential.
  • Computer proficiency is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
