Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at New Standard. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for producing high-quality products while meeting or exceeding production and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Assembly and Inspection: Assemble and inspect products in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Material Handling: Move materials as required to support production, using various methods and equipment.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production, downtime, quality, maintenance, and other relevant data.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all quality standards are met by visually inspecting work and/or using measuring devices.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Recognize operating irregularities and machine malfunctions, and take corrective action or notify the proper person.
  • Machine Setup and Maintenance: Perform machine setup and preventative maintenance as required to ensure optimal production.
  • Production Requirements: Meet or exceed production requirements, and notify the Team Lead or Manager of any deviations from standard.
  • Safety and Housekeeping: Work safely at all times, and maintain a clean and orderly work area, equipment, and machines.
  • Computer Transactions: Perform necessary computer transactions in various software programs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Offer suggestions and assist in implementing improvements to productivity, process safety, and the work environment.
Requirements
  • English Language Proficiency: Read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with others.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
Work Environment
  • Physical Demands: Walking, bending, standing, carrying product, reaching overhead, and heavy lifting are required.
  • Work Schedule: Ability to stand or walk for 10-12 hours.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to frequently lift and carry material weighing up to 35 pounds.
