Position Overview

Compensation

The compensation for this position reflects a comprehensive evaluation of various factors including experience, skills, and organizational needs. The expected hourly rate for this role is $19.86/hr. within a full salary range of $24.21/hr.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Duties:

  • Interior Cleaning: Responsible for maintaining cleanliness in all designated areas, including conducting laundry services and performing other janitorial tasks as required.
  • Furniture Maintenance: Clean and rearrange furniture as necessary to facilitate events and ensure cleanliness.
  • Floor Care: Execute proper cleaning procedures for all interior flooring using specialized equipment.
  • Restroom Sanitation: Ensure public and private restrooms are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Waste Management: Efficiently manage waste disposal and recycling processes in assigned areas.
  • Exterior Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness of exterior building areas, including sidewalks and windows.

Leadership & Communication:

  • Foster positive relationships with staff and the campus community.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior custodial staff as needed.

Administrative Duties:

  • Participate in mandatory training and meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records of supplies and equipment.
  • Report any incidents or hazards promptly.
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent experience required.

Experience: Minimum of six months in a custodial role or equivalent training.

Certifications: Must obtain necessary operating certifications within six months of hire.

Skills Required
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of custodial practices and safety procedures.

A background check is required for this position.
