Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to join our team, responsible for preparing and serving food, including texture modified and therapeutic diets following facility menus, current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. As a key member of our team, you will be expected to maintain a high level of quality and safety in all aspects of food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food, including texture modified and therapeutic diets, following facility menus, federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

• Maintain a high level of quality and safety in all aspects of food preparation and presentation.

• Assist in assuring proper receiving, storage, preparation, serving, sanitation, and cleaning procedures are followed.

• Support Dietary Aide as necessary and direct other employees with approval.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A positive attitude with the ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.

• After completing all appropriate training, utilize leadership skills to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision and do so without injury to oneself or other individuals.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with experience in food preparation preferred.

• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State/County law.

• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
