Volt Workforce Solution is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Press Loader to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the transporting and handling of parts between operations and departments.

About the Job

You will ensure that stock is continually ready to run on presses, maintaining open communication with Press and Production leadership, Inspection, Press Operators, and other Press personnel.

  • Assist in determining which parts are finished and ready to move to heat treat or be cut.
  • Monitor the ovens, charts, and status of work-in-progress to keep the job moving to the next operation appropriately.
  • Provide travelers to production teams to inform them of the status of jobs for planning purposes.
  • Determine priority jobs to move into press ovens based on the daily schedule.
  • Verify that the right oven temperature is being used by checking travelers.
  • Load ovens after confirming that the alloy and code for the job and traveler match, alerting Press Lead if it does not match.
  • Continually remove parts from press tables, place them in baskets, and move them to etch.
  • Transport parts between operations using a forklift.
  • Load and unload parts into carts or etching baskets.
  • Maintain traceability when handling parts.
  • Keep accurate part-counts.
  • Ensure quality and production requirements are met.
  • Participate in total quality management projects to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Participate in LEAN manufacturing, 6S, and SPC activities as required.
  • Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by a supervisor.
About You

We are looking for an individual who is able to work under direct supervision throughout their shift, maintain an acceptable attendance record, follow and respect supervisor's direction, and ensure quality parts meet customers' and APP's requirements.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in Manufacturing/Aerospace environments, be able to drive a forklift, survey the surrounding work area for pedestrian safety, understand written and verbal instructions, keep an accurate count of parts, and work at an acceptable level of productivity.

Working Conditions

The work environment is indoor/outdoor in an industrial manufacturing plant. The temperature can exceed 100? F throughout the work year. Protective gear is required at all times to avoid injury. Moderate-to-high noise from machinery in the work area is constant throughout the shift.
